Who we are

If you’ve landed here, you’re likely dealing with something that feels harder than it “should.”

Your mind doesn’t turn off. Thoughts loop or get stuck. You find yourself analyzing, second-guessing, or trying to get certainty—and it only helps for a moment.

Or during pregnancy or early parenthood, something has shifted. You feel more anxious than expected, more overwhelmed, or unsettled by thoughts that don’t feel like “you.”

This is the kind of work we specialize in every day.

Red Elm Psychotherapy is a private practice founded by two licensed clinical psychologists (PsyD): Dr. Erin Cook and Dr. Niles Cook.

Erin Cook, PsyD, PMH-C, is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional through Postpartum Support International and specializes in perinatal OCD, postpartum anxiety, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for intrusive thoughts.

Niles Cook, PsyD, is an OCD specialist and former Training Director with extensive experience teaching clinicians Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). He is currently transitioning to full-time practice at Red Elm Psychotherapy.

Together, we provide evidence-based, structured therapy grounded in psychological science and tailored to high-functioning adults navigating anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and major life transitions.

What We Help With

We specialize in two core areas:

  • OCD and intrusive thoughts, using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD

  • Perinatal and postpartum mental health, including anxiety, OCD, and identity shifts during pregnancy, infertility, and early parenthood

How We Work

We approach therapy as an active, collaborative process—grounded in research, but also warm, direct, and deeply human.

We don’t just focus on symptoms. We focus on the patterns that keep people stuck, so treatment is clear, structured, and effective.

If this resonates, you don’t have to keep managing it alone.
