About Red Elm
Red Elm was founded by psychologists who wanted to create something different: a practice where clinicians can provide high-quality, specialized care while also building a sustainable and fulfilling professional life.
Red Elm is a specialty psychology practice dedicated to the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders, with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) at the core of our clinical approach. While we treat the full spectrum of OCD and anxiety presentations, we have particular expertise in how these conditions can emerge during pregnancy and postpartum, including perinatal OCD, intrusive thoughts, pregnancy and postpartum anxiety, high-risk pregnancy, and pregnancy after loss.
We believe clients deserve exceptional care from clinicians who are deeply trained in the approaches they provide—and clinicians deserve a practice environment that supports their continued growth, clinical development, and well-being.

Meet the Founders
Red Elm was established by Dr. Niles Cook and Dr. Erin Cook, two licensed clinical psychologists who share a passion for clinical excellence and a belief that a sustainable practice requires both autonomy and support.
Together, we provide clinical consultation, mentorship, and operational support that allows our clinicians to focus on what they do best: providing exceptional care.
Dr. Niles Cook
Prior to co-founding Red Elm, Niles served as a Professor in a doctoral clinical psychology program and Director of Training at a specialty OCD clinic in Portland, Oregon, where he trained and supervised psychology trainees and clinicians in OCD treatment and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). He brings deep expertise in OCD treatment and a thoughtful, collaborative approach to ERP, helping clinicians move from understanding OCD concepts to confidently applying them with complex cases.

She brings specialized expertise in the intersection of OCD, anxiety, and the reproductive journey, helping clients navigate these experiences with warmth, clarity, and evidence-based care.
